Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958 under very poor conditions. Her father was a car salesman, while her mother was a teacher. Jennifer is the youngest of the family of four frequently attended her mother's theater performance and very much impressed. When Jennifer reached the age of five, her parents divorced. Jennifer was raised to British Columbia by her mother and moved in with her four siblings. Jennifer did not attend school although as a kid she was very artistic. The time she spent in Canadian schools resulted in her becoming frequently the victim of bullying. Her interest began to wane in the theater during the time she was in high school. The mother of her child encouraged her to take on extra roles in various productions. Every child was motivated by their mothers to explore a passion of art. She then immediately started acting.
